A homeowner believes his dog died in a mobile home fire this morning.
Nate Miller told a Post reporter that he and Keri Shepherd had just left their home at 104 Dominion Drive when the fire started, but their dog was inside.
A neighbor said the dog was a miniature pinscher named Triumph.
Neighbor Cindy Alley said her 3-year-old son Douglas was looking out the window at their home across the street and saw flames coming from one end of the mobile home. He told her and she called 911.
Firefighters are still on the scene of the fire at what emergency radio communications described as a doublewide mobile home. Granite Quarry Fire Chief David Morris said the fire, which started in the front left corner of the home, caused significant damage. He said the cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Granite Quarry, Union, Salisbury, Faith and Rockwell fire departments responded.
