A woman was reportedly robbed and assaulted Saturday in the parking lot of K-Mart.
Patty Allman of Salisbury reported to the Salisbury Police Department that she was returning to her car with food from Cookout for she and her husband, when a man in a dark SUV parked next to her got out of the vehicle and told her to hand over her purse.
Police said Allman refused to give over the purse, and the man grabbed it and pushed her to the ground.
Allman described the man as being in his 20’s, black with a light complexion, thin build and around 5-foot-10. She was unable to get the tag number of the SUV.
Allman did have a small scratch on her chin, but police say she did not need medical treatment.
