Suspect in home invasion arrested

Timothy McCain Jr., the suspect wanted in a home invasion that occurred Wednesday morning, has been found and charged.
Salisbury Police followed a tip they got Thursday afternoon and found McCain, 22, in an outbuilding at a home behind 411 Grim St.
He was arrested about 5:30 p.m., and charged with felony robbery with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and first-degree burglary.
McCain is accused of breaking into the home at 225 Dan St., about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, trying to rob the people there, and biting Jeffery Summers and his sister, Margi Summers, before shooting Jeffery Summers in the leg and hip.
McCain is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $100,000 bond.
