School calendar for 2010

The holiday break for students in the Rowan-Salisbury School System is just about over. Students will return to school on Tuesday.
Teachers will report to work on Monday. Schools will close again on Monday, Jan. 18, for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.
The second half of the 2009-2010 calendar, which may be adjusted to make up days missed due to inclement weather, also includes the following:
– Jan. 21-22: Teacher workdays.
– Feb. 2: Second report card issued.
– Feb. 15: Teacher workday.
– Feb. 24: Mid-quarter progress report.
– March 17: Early Release Day.
– April 1: Early Release Day.
– April 2: Teacher workday.
– April 5-9: Good Friday holiday and Spring Break.
– April 20: Third report card issued.
– May 4: Teacher workday.
– May 6: Mid-quarter progress report.
– May 31: Memorial Day holiday.
– June 10: Last day of school.
– June 11: Graduation day for high schools.
