Culvert failure closes Concord street

CONCORD ó Overbrook Drive Northeast has been closed to through traffic due to a culvert failure.
The affected area is near 123 and 128 Overbrook Drive NE. The road is expected to be closed through the end of February 2010.
The initial phase of the project is complete, according to a city press release. The remaining sections of culvert have been removed and utility conflicts have been addressed. The new culvert materials will be manufactured within the next three weeks.
Contract construction crews will begin installing the new culvert in mid-January. Motorists can use Wilhelm Place NE and Bridlewood Place NE as alternate routes.
