Beautiful relationship
The pairing of the Kannapolis’ Piedmont Dance Company and the Salisbury Symphony to present “The Nutcracker” has turned out to be a very productive relationship. While the traditional Christmas ballet is presented in hundreds of venues each year, it seems doubtful that many communities the size of Salisbury and Kannapolis enjoy performances as fine as those put on here this year. The show was rich in talent, creativity and skill ó a glittering bright spot for a community beset with economic worries. The dancers, musicians and others who make it possible deserve a standing ovation.
