China Grove Elementary School students set out to collect 2,009 cans of food for their annual holiday food drive this year and ended up with 2,010.
Students in grades K-6 wrapped up in coats and gloves Friday morning and ventured out in near-freezing temperatures to personally deliver the food to Main Street Mission.
