Helen Robichaud is a member of the Three Musketeers.
Not unlike the trio from from the classic tale by Alexandre Dumas, she considered her friends quite close.
Robichaud of China Grove made a $25 donation to the Christmas Happiness Fund in memory of one of her musketeers, Beatrice Blount.
“She was my dearest friend,” Robichaud said.
The two women met in Sunday Mass and began going out to breakfast together. Soon, another friend joined them and they became the Three Musketeers.
The two women were friends for 10 years until Blount died a year ago.
Blount was a retired school teacher who lived for some time in Spencer.
