A 27-year-old Gold Hill man has been charged with molesting a child he was baby-sitting.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has charged Jason Keith Honeycutt, 27, 450 St. Stephens Church Road, with two counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Capt. John Sifford said Honeycutt was a friend of the family and was baby-sitting the 4-year-old victim.
The incident was first reported to the Rowan County Department of Social Services which notified the Sheriff’s Office.
Honeycutt is in the Rowan County Detention Center with bond set at $50,000.
