West Rowan freshman takes a first place at horse show in Ohio
Cala Rae Cocca, 14, a freshman at West Rowan High School, recently placed first and was named congress champion in her division at the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio.
Cocca competed in the Novice Youth Western Pleasure Division.
The Quarter Horse Congress is the largest single-breed horse show in the world.
Cocca is the daughter of John and Suzi Cocca and granddaughter of Henry and Dixie Follette, all of Salisbury.
