A Salisbury teen is in good condition after the pickup he was driving overturned in a one-vehicle wreck early Thursday morning.
Nathan Hardister, 16, was traveling on Panther Creek Road, not far from his home, around 7:13 a.m., when he was injured.
According to N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper M.D. Ramey, Hardister was coming around a curve too fast when he lost control of the 1992 Chevy he was driving.
Ramey said Hardister ran off the right-hand side of the road, overcorrected, ran off the road again, overcorrected once more, slid and the truck overturned.
“He was the only car involved. There were no passengers in his vehicle,” Ramey said.
A helicopter flew Hardister to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where officials confirmed he was in good condition.
Ramey said no charges will be filed at this time.
