A Henderson High School student was arrested Thursday after he apparently stabbed a Salisbury man and attempted to steal his moped, according to an arrest report from the Salisbury Police Department.

Police say Jorod Qutez Young, 17, of 605 Fifth Street stabbed Guy Anthony Taylor, of 623 Lafayette Circle with a double-edged fixed blade hunting knife.

The moped Qutez attempted to steal is valued at $3,000 according to the report.

Young is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $250,000 bond.
