Sheriff's deputies seize marijuana and ecstasy in search at Edgewood Farm Road

Members of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigative Unit executed a search warrant at 455 Edgewood Farm Road on Sept. 1.
During the search, they located and seized 42 units of ecstasy and 2 grams of marijuana.
Edward Shane Allman, of 455 Edgewood Farm Road, was arrested Sunday and charged with the following: possession with intent to sell and deliver ecstasy, maintaining a dwelling to distribute a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Allman was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center. He has since been released under a $6,0000 secured bond.
On March 22, a search warrant was executed at 1160 Harrison Road, the residence of David Donnelle Martin. There, officers located 700 grams of cocaine, 55 grams of marijuana, 2.5 units of ecstasy and $4,776. Martin was arrested at a residence on Bear Poplar Road where he was charged with the following: trafficking cocaine by possession, possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Martin was released from the Rowan County Detention Center under a $55,000 secured bond.
