Eagle Scout
Shea Edward Cook, 18, received his Eagle Scout award Dec. 10 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. The award was presented by Jim Mallinson, Scoutmaster of Troop 403, sponsored by the church.
Cook is the son of Edward and Deborah Cook of Salisbury. He has earned 30 merit badges and is a member of Order of the Arrow. He participated in the Florida Sea Base High Adventure program last summer and was a staff lifeguard at Camp Barnhardt in the summer of 2005.
A 2006 graduate of South Rowan High School, Cook was a member of the swim team and the chorus program for four years. He was in the Varsity Chorus during his senior year. During his junior year, he was a member of the National Honor Society and the Drama Club.
No enrolled at Rowan Cabarrus Community College, he is working part-time at Texas Roadhouse.
Born in Pueblo, Colo., in 1998, Cook moved to North Carolina in 1999. He is the grandson of Clayton Correll, Kannapolis, and Robert and Delores Cook, Troy, Ill.
