Farm Service committee members chosen by election

Ballots in the Cabarrus-Mecklenburg Farm Service Agency (FSA) were counted and David Houston was elected to the County Committee as a regular member.

Roy Grier was elected as a first alternate from Local Administrative Area 2. Eddie Moose was elected to the County Committee as a regular member. Louis Suther was elected as a first alternate and John P. Cline was elected as a second alternate to the County Committee from Local Administrative Area 4. The new members begin their terms Jan. 1 and were elected for three-year terms.

The Cabarrus-Mecklenburg FSA committee is a vital link in the effective administration of farm programs, in full accordance with the regulations, for ensuring farmer understanding and wide program participation, for seeing that the county office operations are farmer oriented and that farmers receive quality service, while giving balanced attention to all programs and carrying out their responsibilities effectively, efficiently and impartially.
