Humane Society meets Monday

The Humane Society of Rowan County will hold a meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. at Fire Mountain Restaurant on Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury.

Board members will meet at 5:30 p.m.. The public is invited to attend starting at 7 p.m.

Tuesday’s City Council meeting canceled

Because of a slim agenda after the holidays, Salisbury City Council has canceled its scheduled meeting for Tuesday afternoon.

Council will meet for the first time in 2007 at 4 p.m. Jan. 16 at City Hall, 217 S. Main St.
