Auxiliary tree lighting

Rowan Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will light its Tree of Hope during a service at 5 p.m. on Dec. 7.
The dedication will take place in the hospital courtyard on Henderson Street, across from the parking deck.
Participating in the tree-lighting service will be Bess Johnson,the auxiliary’s president; Marjorie Kelly, projects chairman; Jeff Lindsay, Rowan Regional’s president and chief operating officer of the Central Piedmont Market; Rick Parker, Rowan Regional’s senior director of professional and support services ; and the Rev. James Cook, hospital chaplain.
The Amadeus Youth Chorus will perform under the direction of Dr. Phillip Burgess and Sarah Hall. Refreshments will be served immediately after the service. A light on the Tree of Hope can be denoted in someone’s honor or memory. Each light is $10 and is a tax-deductible contribution. Funds go directly to projects in the medical center that enhance the comfort of patients and their families.
A card acknowledging the gift is sent to the honoree or to the family of the person whose memory is honored. Names received by Dec. 9 will also be published in one of two listings in the Salisbury Post. A list of all contributors will appear in the Dec. 27 edition.
