The man killed in a wreck Wednesday night near Millbridge has been identified as Gary Lynn Jackson, 40, of 203 Bonnie Lane, China Grove.
Jackson was driving a 1990 Mazda pickup west on Fannie Sloan Road around 8:30 p.m. when the pickup hit the side of the bridge railing over Kerr Creek.
Fannie Sloan Road runs between Millbridge Road and N.C. 150.

Jackson was pinned in the overturned vehicle and was dead at the scene.
Locke Fire Department, Rowan EMS and Rowan Rescue Squad responded to the accident.
The report indicated that alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
The pickup was owned by Gary Scott Madden of Oxford.
Jackson’s death is the 19th fatality on county roads this year.
First Sgt. B.E. Hower said the total is down from the 24 fatalities during 2005.
