The woman airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center after a multi-car accident on Monday is in fair condition.
Sherry Foster Miller, of 1213 S. Claiborne St., failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Faith Road and Jake Alexander Boulevard, according to police reports.
Her Jeep was hit by a Honda Civic driven by Amy Shaver that was travelling west on Jake Alexander Boulevard.
Miller’s car flipped after the collision and landed on a Jeep Wrangler driven by Phillip Snipes of Salisbury.
Shaver and her 4-year-old son, Dillon, of Gold Hill, both were transported to Rowan Regional Medical Center and discharged Monday evening. Snipes was not injured.
Police said several additional drivers reported vehicles hit by flying debris from the wreck that happened at about 12:30 p.m.
No charges have been filed against Miller for disregarding traffic signals, police said.
