Woman indicted on 22 counts of opium trafficking

A Salisbury woman was indicted Tuesday on 22 counts of trafficking heroin or opium.
Latesha Daniels, of 1025 Grady St., Salisbury, was indicted by a grand jury on the counts.
Daniels, formerly of 540 Hannah Ferry Road, was charged in May with stealing medicine from patients at China Grove Retirement Center, where she worked as a medication technician.
She was released on $250,000 bond and will appear in Superior Court next term. No court date was set.
