LANDIS ó A vehicle fire tied up traffic in downtown Landis for half an hour Thursday.
Landis Fire Chief Reed Linn said the 1985 Ford Ranger was at the intersection of North Main Street and West Ryder Avenue.
“It was a possible electrical short,” he said.
The driver, whose name was not immediately available, was already out of the pickup.
No injuries were reported, Linn said. One lane of travel was shut down for about 30 minutes.
He said the truck was a total loss.
Landis firefighters responded to the blaze around noon and got it under control within about 15 minutes, Linn said.
The first call firefighters received reported the truck was parked at the Shell gas station. However, the truck was in the street.
