Hefner VA Sleep Disorders Center accredited
The Sleep Disorders Center at Hefner VA Medical Center recently received program accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Five-year accreditation requires a sleep center to meet or exceed all standards for professional health care as designated by the academy. The accreditation process involves detailed inspection of a center’s facility and staff, including an evaluation of testing procedures, patient contacts and physician training. Also, the facility’s goals must be clearly stated and include plans for positively affecting the quality of medical care in the community it serves.
Sleep Disorders Center is in Building 21 at Hefner VA Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Ave. It is directed by Dr. Andrew G. Bullard. For more information, call 704-638-9000, extension 4523.
