U.S. Senate candidate in Salisbury today
State Sen. Kay Hagan, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Republican Elizabeth Dole, will stop by the 12th Congressional District convention this morning in Salisbury.
Hagan, of Greensboro, plans to speak at the Democratic convention gathering at 10:30 a.m. today at Isenberg Elementary School.
Hagan topped four other Democratic rivals in the May 6 primary. She also will be speaking today at congressional district conventions in Asheboro and Concord. Family and staff members will represent her at 10 other district meetings today.
