Two teens charged with robbery
Salisbury Police have charged two teens with common law robbery.
Brittney Hopkins, 16, of 1100 W. Fisher St., and Michael DeMario McHenry, 17, of 514 Bringle Ferry Road, are accused of forcibly taking a pocketbook, two cell phones and a jacket worth $375 from Gemisha Black of Craige Street.
They were placed under $5,000 bond each Monday. The theft occurred Friday, according to reports.
In another incident, police charged DeMorris Sequan Sloan, 25, of 410 E. Vance Ave. with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury after an incident Saturday.
He is charged with assaulting Badina Lavon Ellis of West D Avenue with a knife. Sloan was arrested and placed under $7,500 bond Monday.
Sloan’s first appearance in District Court was Tuesday.
