Two high school students arrested on drug charges

Two 16-year-old high school students were arrested on drug charges Thursday in separate school incidents.
A school resource officer at West Rowan High School arrested William Sylvester Lytle Jr., of 5135 Foster Road in Woodleaf.
Lytle “did possess with the intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, namely seven grams of marijuana,” according to an arrest warrant from the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office.
The charge is a felony. Lytle was placed under a $500 bond.
At Henderson Independent School, a school resource officer arrested Ruquayyah Qurisha Gray.
Gray, of 1345 Standish St. in Salisbury, also faces a felony charge of possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, according to an arrest warrant.Gray had 8.6 grams of marijuana, the warrant says. She was placed under a $1,000 bond.
