KANNAPOLIS ó Police arrested an A.L. Brown High School student today for having a gun and a knife in his car on school property.
Kenneth Eugene McDaniel III, 17, of 4195 Hunter Ridge Lane, faces several charges.
Police charged McDaniel with possession of a firearm on school property, possession of a weapon (knife) on school property, possession of a stolen firearm, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, underage possession of an alcoholic beverage and maintaining a vehicle to keep, store, sell or use controlled substances.
Police found the items in McDaniel’s car. Investigators do not believe McDaniel had intended to use the weapons or sell the marijuana at school, police said.
