Stolen ATVs found-brothers arrested

Two Gold Hill men have been charged with stealing two all-terrain vehicles, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.In a press release, sheriff’s officials said patrol deputies found a stolen four-wheeler on Tuesday and asked detectives for assistance.
“Detectives arrived and discovered an additional stolen 4-wheeler,” according to the press release, which does not indicate where either stolen vehicle was found.
These all-terrain vehicles “were stolen from the river area of Rowan County,” according to the press release, and “the investigation revealed that Michael and Jonathan Hargett had stolen” them.
On Friday, detectives charged the men with felony larceny. Michael Dean Hargett, 18, and Jonathan Wayne Hargett, 22, live at 1380 Zion Church Road, Gold Hill.
Both were placed into the Rowan County Detention Center under $1,000 secure bonds. The stolen 4-wheelers were returned to the owners, whom the press release does not identify.
