Spencer SunTrust branch robbed

SPENCER ó Investigators are searching for a man who robbed SunTrust bank at the South Salisbury Avenue branch just before 10 this morning.
Spencer Police were at the scene, along with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and Salisbury Police, who brought a police dog.
According to police scanners, authorities are searching for a white male who was wearing a baseball cap. The man got away with about $1,200 in a Crown Royal bag. He left on foot. Officers searched the area, including around the N.C. Transportation Museum.
