Spencer man faces numerous drug charges

A Spencer man is under $150,000 bond after being charged with drug violations following a six-month investigation.
Bobby Ray Hall, 34, of 215 N. Rowan Ave., was charged with possession, trafficking and other violations after a search warrant of his home was executed Dec. 30.
Investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina SBI, Salisbury Police Department, ATF and Spencer Police Department provided the warrant based on information that Hall was involved in cocaine distribution.
During the past month, investigators bought approximately 200 grams of cocaine from Hall, accoarding to warrants. During the search of his home, investigators located and seized an additional 37 grams of cocaine, along with two handguns, warrants say.
Hall was arrested and charged with five counts of trafficking cocaine, three counts of possession with intent to sell cocaine, two counts of maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, one count of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hall was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $150,000 secured bond. He has since been released.
