Sheriff's Office charges Salisbury man with operating ticket house
Staff report
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Salisbury man with operating a ticket house.
Olen Stamper Jr., 47, of 827 Glover Road, was cited on possession of number tickets and operating a game of chance.
This is not Stamper’s first arrest for gambling.
In 2003, Stamper and his brother, Bradford, were convicted in federal court for gambling and money laundering after authorities said the men raked in millions off the schemes.
