Sheriff's blotter – $3,000 heat pump reported stolen from Kepley Road home

Someone stole a heat pump from a local house, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Jerry Gynn Eller reported the $3,000 heat pump, a $200 propane tank and a $100 wheel and tire were stolen from property he owns at 770 Kepley Road between Oct. 16 and 21.

– Angela Cress Bostian of Kannapolis reported Oct. 22 that someone tried to use her Social Security number to obtain a credit card on Sept. 16 or 17.
– Shane Nicholas Rabon, 28, was charged Oct. 22 with simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance following a vehicle stop on Artz Road at Spring Estates Circle.
– Harvey Russell McCorkle, 18, was charged Oct. 22 with misdemeanor larceny at 970 Long Bow Road.
– Cedric Christopher Shaffer, 21, was charged Oct. 22 with assault on a female at 1351 Peach Orchard Road.
– Ronald John Walton, 16, was charged Oct. 23 with assault on a female at 214 Kenway Drive, Woodleaf.
– A student was charged Oct. 22 with possession of a controlled substance at West Rowan High School, 8050 N.C. 801, Mount Ulla.
– Peter Brian Smith reported the theft of a $3,500 truck from 6760 Lowder Road the night of Oct. 21.
– Sarah Sullivan, 130 Knotty Pine Circle, reported the theft of a $3,000 vehicle from her property the night of Oct. 22.
– Betty Propst Farmer, 740 Miller Road, China Grove, reported the Oct. 23 theft of $1,200 in jewelry from her home.
– John Petrozelle of Denton reported a burglar broke into Kountry Market, 12955 Bringle Ferry Road, Richfield, Oct. 24, caused $20 damage to a lock and stole $150 in cigarettes.
– Scarlette Denise Sechler, 33, was charged Oct. 23 with simple assault at 3140 Miller Road.
– Lana Carter, 28, was charged Oct. 23 with injury to personal property.
– Peter Brian Smith, 41, was charged Oct. 23 with felony larceny of a firearm.
– Camara Leigh-billy Talbert, 42, was charged Oct. 23 with assault inflicting serious injury at 188 Golf Acres Lane.
– Kareem Jamal Horton, 26, was charged Oct. 23 with felony discharging a firearm into occupied property.
– Benjamin Surrat, 29, was charged Oct. 23 with communicating threats.
– Summer M. Mance of Kannapolis reported Oct. 24 that her vehicle had been stolen from 294 Ethel Lane, China Grove, between March 26 and 28.
– Eric Hall of Salisbury reported a burglar broke into a house at 4520 Sherrills Ford Road Oct. 24.
– A 49-year-old female was treated at Rowan Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room Oct. 24 after she was assaulted at her Woodleaf home.
– Brian Thomas File, 224 Yachtsman Drive, reported $1,380 in items stolen after someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of Oct. 23.
– George Lewis Gipson, 19, was charged Oct. 24 with assault on a female. He is accused of assaulting his mother, Judy Elaine Gipson, at 190 Hallmark Circle, China Grove.
– Corey Mark Kloszewski of Cleveland reported vandals broke the windshield in his vehicle with a cinderblock while the vehicle was parked at 102 Steele Ave., Cleveland, Oct. 23 or 24.
– Three 16-year-olds, Shelby Lee Maddy, Ian Erwin Correll and Rikki Nicole Gainey, were charged Oct. 25 with underage consumption of alcohol at 2400 Dawson St., Kannapolis.
– Byron Price Peacock, 720 Ed Weaver Road, reported $1,215 in items stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of Oct. 24.
– Lanny Edward Graham, 2215 Barringer Road, reported the Oct. 25 theft of a $1,000 four-wheeler and two gasoline cans from his garage. The thief caused $400 in damage to the garage door.
– Dianne Pruitt, 580 Harris Road, reported vandals broke the windshield on her vehicle while it was parked at her home Oct. 25. Damage totaled $500.
– Amanda Pittman, 385 Pine Valley Road, reported vandals broke the back window in her vehicle while it was parked at her home Oct. 25. Damage totaled $500.
– Nicolas Lopez of Kannapolis reported vandals damaged boards marking corners at a 175 Northdale Ave., Kannapolis, construction site Oct. 24 or 25.
– Charles Brian Misenheimer, 1020 Crescent Road, Rockwell, reported $95 in items stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his home the night of Oct. 24.
– Donna Frye Tilley, 615 Homer Corriher Road, China Grove, reported $12.25 in medication stolen from his home Oct. 25.
– Ronnie Paul Godbey, 3625 Long Ferry Road, reported the Oct. 25 theft of a $100 bicycle from his property.
– Christopher James Shugart, 160 Ellen St., Rockwell, reported the theft of a $999 four-wheeler from his yard between Oct. 17 and 26.
– Robert Jack Damron, 2940 Faith Road, reported items valued at $530 stolen during a burglary at his home Oct. 25 or 26.
– Peter Brian Smith, 41, was charged Oct. 24 with felony breaking and entering a building.
– Mike Stewart, 46, was charged Oct. 24 with communicating threats at 130 Norris Drive.
– Winfield Scott Thompson, 40, was charged Oct. 24 with assault on a female at 330 Fortune Lane.
– William Edgar Russell, 43, was charged Oct. 25 with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury at the intersection of Parks and Woodleaf roads in Woodleaf.
– Richard Scott Fisher, 42, was charged Oct. 26 with assault on a female at 1980 Cannon St., Rockwell.
– Yusuf Almuid Williams, 31, was charged Oct. 26 with communicating threats at 569 Kirk St., China Grove.
– Rocky Lane Honeycutt, 42, was charged Oct. 26 with communicating threats at 710 St. Andrew’s Church Road, Woodleaf.
– Brian Nathan Hackl, 36, was charged Oct. 26 with violating a domestic protective order at 225 Cherokee Lane.

– Larry Michael Rollins, 38, was charged Oct. 27 with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
