Fourteen volunteers brought Senior Game-type activities to the residents of Genesis Healthcare Thursday morning.
The volunteers have participated themselves or assisted in staging of the Salisbury-Rowan Senior Games in the past. Genesis residents got to try their hands at games such as interactive Wii bowling, ring toss, basketball and mini-golf.
Residents and volunteers also enjoyed a meal from College Barbecue, while Carol Cody and Ginger Fagan entertained. The pair call themselves the Clogged Up Cloggers and won a gold medal in performing arts this year at the N.C. Senior Games.
All residents were rewarded for their efforts with a gold, silver or bronze medal.
