Salisbury’s Amtrak train station at 215 Depot St. will have an open house Saturday, May 10, from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Visitors can see the Carolinian leave at 8:25 a.m. and the Piedmont leave at 9:26 a.m., as well as pick up train schedules and travel information and ask questions of station attendants.
People who visit the station can also get free train giveaways and a National Train Day poster and register to win a round trip for four anywhere the Piedmont travels.
Amtrak stations in Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Burlington, Greensboro, High Point, Kannapolis, Charlotte, Selma, Wilson and Rocky Mount will also have open houses.
