Salisbury VA director to attend ceremony
Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary James B. Peake will give the keynote address Monday morning at the ribbon cutting ceremony for a new VA clinic in Charlotte.
The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. at the new Charlotte Community-Based Outpatient Clinic, 8601 University East Drive, Charlotte.
Joining Peake at the ceremony will be Daniel F. Hoffmann, director of the department’s Mid-Atlantic region, headquartered in Durham; Carolyn L. Adams, director of the Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury; U.S. Sens. Elizabeth Dole and Richard Burr, both N.C. Republicans.
After the hour-long ceremony, officials will conduct tours of the new outpatient clinic, just off W.T. Harris Boulevard. The clinic will open for patient care this month.
