Investors recognition
Bruce Sanborn and Jason Holt of F&M Investment Services Inc. recently were recognized for their exceptional performance and commitment to client service by LPL Financial at its Financial Masters 2008 conference.
Holt was named to the Chairman’s Club, a status reserved for less than 6 percent of LPL Financial advisers, based on a production ranking of all registered advisers at LPL Financial at the end of 2007.
Sanborn was named to the Patriot’s Club, which includes less than 10 percent of all LPL Financial advisers, for the fifth year.
“We are extremely proud of Jason and Bruce for having distinguished themselves among the top performers at LPL Financial,” said Dan R. Williams, president of F&M Investment Services, a subsidiary of F&M Bank.
Approximately 300 LPL Financial Institution Services advisers attended the 2008 Top Producers Conference in February at the Ritz-Carlton in Cancun, Mexico. They heard speakers and participated in professional development sessions.
LPL Financial, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2008, is the nation’s largest independent broker/dealer.
AARP team member
Home Instead Senior Care, a local company serving Cabarrus, Rowan, Davie and Davidson Counties, has joined AARP’s National Employer Team, a network of employers who value the experience and skills of the 50-plus worker, according to AARP.
The program connects 50-plus workers with employment opportunities at companies that now include Home Instead Senior Care, an international non-medical caregiving company with more than 760 offices worldwide.
To join the team, employers submit an application demonstrating their interest in hiring mature workers. AARP’s Web site, www.aarp.org/employerteam, provides information on the employers and the positions they have posted, along with links to each employer’s AARP career page.
“We have always valued the mature worker and are thrilled to be a part of this program,” said Jena Hare, general manager of the Concord and Salisbury Home Instead Senior Care offices. “We are proud to be an employer that recognizes the many contributions mature workers bring to the workforce, not only in our community but throughout the world.”
“Our National Employer Team members recognize the changes occurring in the labor force,” said Deborah Russell, AARP’s director of Workforce Issues. “AARP’s NET members come from fields ranging from retail to travel to security with positions spanning the gap from tax examiners for the Internal Revenue Service to country directors for the Peace Corps.”
