Rowan Democats
The Rowan County Democratic Party’s executive committee will meet Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers on the second floor of the County Administration Building, 130 W. Innes St.
The purpose of the meeting is to elect a new chair of the Rowan County Democratic Party and to fill any other vacancies that may arise.
The following constitute the County Executive Committee and are eligible to attend and vote: precinct chairs and vice chairs; county officers; chairs of auxiliary organizations; district and state executive committee members; all elected officials in both partisan and non-partisan offices who are registered Democrats; the county party’s attorney.
According to state party rules, a quorum will be established by the presence of at least 40 percent of committee members plus one.
