A Rockwell woman local authorities had been seeking as a missing person has contacted her family, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said this afternoon.
Ruth Miller Clark, 80, of Old Beatty Ford Road, is no longer considered missing, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Clark’s brother told authorities he last saw her around 10 p.m. Sunday. He visited Clark’s home on Monday at 3:30 p.m. and found that she and her vehicle were gone.
Clark has no major health concerns, but she does not normally drive at night or on any roads that are unfamiliar to her, authorities said. They did not find her dog or daily medicine in her home, but it didn’t appear she took any clothes or personal hygiene products when she left.
