Rockwell man under $100,000 bond

Investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the Rockwell Police Department arrested a Rockwell man after receiving information that he would be delivering a quantity of cocaine to an individual in Rockwell.
Adolfo Banda, 35, of 6110 N.C. 152, Rockwell, was charged Friday with two counts of trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, one count of conspiracy to traffic cocaine and one count of maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances.
Banda was observed driving a red Chevrolet Trailblazer to the location where the delivery was to be made.
Investigators stopped and searched Banda and found approximately 2 ounces of cocaine in his pants pocket.
Banda was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $100,000 secured bond, pending a first appearance in court.
