Rockwell Community Assoc. president

ROCKWELL ó Ann McManus was elected president of the Rockwell Community Association at its recent annual meeting.
Other officers elected are Sherin Teague of Palm Harbor Homes, vice president; Vivian Phelps, secretary; and Linda Bowman of Boy Scouts of America, treasurer.
A review of 2007 accomplishments include a partnership with the Lion’s Club Vision Van, Easter egg hunt, American Cancer Society fundraiser with the Rockwell Lion’s Club and Civitan’s Club, annual Saturday in the Park and the Festival of the Trees at the Rockwell Museum.
Association volunteers staff the Rockwell Museum, which is open Sundays 2-4 p.m. The December Festival of the Trees at the museum includes a visit from Santa and decorated trees from community organizations and churches.
Events planned this year at Rockwell include the annual free Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday and the annual Music in the Park with Piedmont Primetime Community Band, Elvis and a magician, 5-8 p.m. June 21, 5-8 p.m. A bounce house will be provided by the YMCA for children. Food and refreshments will be sold by local businesses.
