Procession for fallen firefighters
A formal escort, returning the bodies of fallen Salisbury firefighters Justin Monroe and Victor Isler from Charlotte, will take place Monday afternoon.
The procession, including vehicles from the Salisbury and Miller’s Ferry fire departments and Salisbury Police, will be similar to the escort that took Monroe’s and Isler’s bodies to Carolinas Medical Center Saturday afternoon for autopsies.
Fire Chief Bob Parnell said citizens are welcome to join the public safety tradition of paying respects to the procession as it passes Monday.
The escort will leave Charlotte at 3 p.m., and expected arrival time in Salisbury is 4 p.m.
