The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has charged a teenager with four counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.
Charged is James Deven Ward, 16, of 183 Pleasant Hills Drive, Salisbury.
He was placed under $2,500 bond Friday.
Reports said at the time of the offenses, Ward was over 16 and at least five years older than the child.
His first appearance in court will be Monday. Reports said the offenses occurred Nov. 2.
