Pizza Hut coming to China Grove

CHINA GROVE ó Pizza Hut is coming to town.
The China Grove Board of Aldermen approved a conditional-use permit and site plan Tuesday night for a full-service, sit-down Pizza Hut on U.S. 29, immediately south of Rite Aid and Auto Zone.
Kannapolis Construction, the permit applicant, plans a 12,850-square-foot building on the 1.9-acre tract. It will include a drive-through for pickup orders.
Alderman Allen Welter had one question.
“When are you going to start?” he asked.
Bill Cone, president of Kannapolis Construction, said construction will start as soon as the company gets the building permits from the county.
