Pfeiffer offers field day to fourth-graders Friday

Pfeiffer plans field day for 4th gradersPfeiffer University’s education and history clubs will sponsor a field day and history bowl Friday for 250 fourth-graders from Morgan, Richfield, Central and North Albemarle elementary schools.
The event is designed to exercise the students’ minds and bodies during the daylong event in Merner Gym and the Henry Pfeiffer Chapel on the Misenheimer campus. The field day will begin at 8:45 a.m., followed by the History Bowl at noon.
Students will compete in physical activities, academics and team-building skills, with music, science and art incorporated. Teams of four students representing each school will compete in a History Bowl challenge to test their knowledge of North Carolina history. Last year’s History Bowl winners were from Morgan Elementary.
