Paradowski, Mynatt repeat on RCCC board

The Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees has re-elected Ray Paradowski of Salisbury as its chairman and Cyndie Mynatt of Concord as the vice chair.
The board selected Carol Spalding, Rowan-Cabarrus’ new president, to serve as secretary.
Paradowski joined the Rowan-Cabarrus Board of Trustees in 1988 and has served as chairman since 1991.
He is a retired manager of operations for National Starch and Chemical Co. and was previously a member of the executive committee of the N.C. Association of Community College Trustees.
Mynatt joined the community college’s board in 2005 and has served as vice chairman since 2006.
She is the president of Ben Mynatt Pontiac-Buick-GMC in Concord, Ben Mynatt Nissan in Salisbury, Ben Mynatt Pre-Owned Inc. in Kannapolis and Ben Mynatt Chevrolet-Cadillac in Concord. She also serves on the boards of Cabarrus Bank & Trust, the Cabarrus County Community Foundation, Cabarrus College of Health Sciences, the N.C. Automobile Dealers’ Association and the Ben Mynatt Children’s Foundation.
Spalding assumed the presidency of Rowan-Cabarrus on Aug. 11. She has served as Open Campus president of Florida Community College in Jacksonville from 1988 until earlier this year.
She has been a board member of the American Association of Community Colleges since 2005.
The trustees of the community college elected their officers at their Aug. 25 meeting held on the North Campus in Salisbury.
