Pauline Varner
CONCORD ó Pauline Early Varner, 94, died March 12, 2008, at Hospice House, Kannapolis.
Born on April 17, 1913, in Cabarrus County, she worked for Cannon Mills for several years and was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Kerr Street United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women’s Circle.
Daughter Margie V. Canipe preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, R. Harper Varner; daughters Janice Love, Columbia, S.C., and Judy Cook, Winston-Salem; sister Mattie Gibson, Montgomery, Ala.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A service was held Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Wilkinson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Jim Hood. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
