Merry J. Readling
PITTSBORO ó Merry Jewel Readling died March 12, 2008, at Laurels of Chatham Health Care Center, Pittsboro, after several years of declining health.
A homemaker, Mrs. Readling was a life member of Central Baptist Church, Kannapolis, and worked in retail in Kannapolis stores for 20 years.
Her husband, Heron E. Readling, died in 1991.
Survivors include son Mike C. Readling, Apex; daughter Diane R. Griffin, Mooresville; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and half-sister Edith Caldwell Horn, Cool Spring.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Whitley’s Funeral Home, Kannapolis, conducted by the Rev. Curtis Parker. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
