N.C. State graduate
Ellen Crowell graduated valedictorian and summa cum laude from N.C. State University May 10. She received a bachelor of arts degree in communication (disorders) and a bachelor of arts degree in sociology.
Crowell is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Kappa Delta honor societies. A Park Scholar, she completed the University Scholars program and studied abroad for a semester in London and Swansea, Wales.
She will pursue a clinical PhD in audiology and a doctor of audiology (AuD) at East Carolina University this fall.
A 2004 graduate of West Rowan High School, she is the daughter of Larry and Betsy Crowell of Salisbury.
