More charges against Gold Hill family members

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has added more charges against members of a family already accused in a string of burglaries.
Brothers Michael Dean Hargett, 18, Christopher Shane Hargett, 20, and Jonathan Wayne Hargett, 23, were each charged Nov. 17 with felony possession of a firearm stolen from 234 Johnson Dairy Road, Rockwell.
Their parents also face more charges. Ronald Wayne Hargett, 48, was charged Nov. 14 and 18 with felony possession of stolen goods and felony possession of a stolen firearm. His wife, Lori Honeycutt Hargett, 43, was charged with felony possession of stolen goods.
William Earl Stone reported the theft Nov. 17.

– Derrick Jay Brown, 20, was charged Nov. 12 with felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting injury.
– David Wayne Lambert, 33, was charged Nov. 12 with possession of a schedule VI controlled substance at 6230 E. N.C. 152, Rockwell.
– Ralph Carey Ritchie reported someone entered his home at 4070 High Rock Road, Gold Hill, Nov. 14 and took medications, money and cigarettes. Some of the items were recovered.
– Craig Anthony Patch reported someone entered his residence at 235 Yates Road Nov. 14 and took two semi-automatic pistols and some men’s cologne.
– Samuel Dean Ewart reported someone entered his vehicles Nov. 15 at 5615 Faith Road and took a stereo face plate, iPod, CDs and change.
– Eric Shayne Kirbaugh, 30, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault at 314 Southern St., East Spencer.
– Dustin Ray Artz reported someone removed stereo equipment from his vehicle Nov. 15 at 1370 Crescent Road, Rockwell.
– An 18-year-old Salisbury woman reported Nov. 15 she was assaulted.
– Misty Pilkington reported someone took cash from her car Nov. 16 at 169 Cypress Lane.
– Colleen Oakes reported someone took her purse Nov. 16 from 110 Tanglewood Drive, Kannapolis.
– Gary Wayne Phelps reported someone stole his chainsaw and hedge trimmer Nov. 16 from his yard at 194 Falcon Ridge Road.
– Wayne Harold Thompson reported someone took an air conditioning unit and antique mirror Nov. 16 from his home at 19180 Old Beatty Ford Road, Gold Hill.
– Kimberly Sieker Clark reported someone took a cell phone Nov. 16 from her residence at 111 Tanglewood Drive, Kannapolis.
