Man stabbed in Rockwell

ROCKWELL ó A 20-year-old man was transported by ambulance Sunday night after being stabbed twice.
The Rowan County Emergency Medical Service picked the victim up in the Hardee’s parking lot on West Main Street and transported him to Rowan Regional Medical Center, according to radio communications.
The man had been stabbed twice, once in the chest area and once in the upper abdomen.
An employee of Hardee’s said the victim never went inside the fast-food restaurant and that Rowan County Emergency Medical Service picked him up in the parking lot.
Paramedics on the scene said the victim wasn’t having difficulty breathing, according to the radio transmissions.
Law enforcement officers were told the identity of the assailant and went to his residence on Lower Palmer Road.
