Man charged with stealing 49 pairs of underwear

Salisbury Police have arrested a man for stealing, among other items, 49 pairs of women’s underwear from a home Saturday.
Len Louis Lineberry, 24, of 940 S. Jackson St., is charged with domestic criminal trespass, second-degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering, injury to real property and injury to personal property.
He is accused of entering the home of Nancy Blakeley at 220 1/2 S. Merritt Ave. between midnight and 5 a.m. Saturday and taking the underwear along with a DVD player, flashlight, bookbag, piggybank and driver’s license.
Five windows in the home were broken out.
He also is charged with damaging furniture, clothing, major appliances, a computer and audio-visual equipment.
Lineberry is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under no bond as a domestic hold. His first appearance in District Court will be Monday.
In another report, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Michael Ray Derringer, 41, of 526 Ridgeland Drive, Cleveland, with second-degree burglary, felony larceny, possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense.
He reportedly broke into at house at 117 Clint Drive, Cleveland, on July 27 and took 17 DVDs and Play Station and Game Cube consoles and games. Derringer later sold the DVDs to Reliable Pawn Shop, reports said.
Derringer was placed under $15,000 bond. His first appearance in court will be Tuesday.
